Funny story: Today we were crossing the street and Ethan said hello to this man. The man responded "hey buddy". Ethan asked me,"why does that man think I'm the guy from from Elf"? I had to laugh. Kids say the darnedest things.
Stumbled upon your blog and read about Ethan's Crohn's--you might like to check out the Weston A. Price Foundation website for info on Crohn's; also http://fourfoldhealing.com/2007/04/01/focus-diseases-of-the-gi-tract/. I am a gramma who is interested in good nutrition. I also recommend "Nourishing Traditions," a very interesting cookbook. If you would like to talk more, my e-mail is gramma_elaine@comcast.net. I have at least one other book that has a small section on Crohn's, possibly more. Removal of any part of the intestine will affect your son for the rest of his life, and may not be necessary.
